Prior to CMG, Mr. Germann was recruited to IT consulting firm Gartner, Inc., where he led IT Asset Management research for 5 years, before finding a home in the Gartner Executive Programs CIO advisory membership program for 13 years. Within the Gartner CIO program, Mr. Germann developed relationships and advised enterprise CIOs from all industries. He was promoted to VP Service Delivery (Customer Success) where he built an organization of 24 executive partners and delivered services to over 500 CIO members, and grew double-digit contract value YOY for nine consecutive years. He followed the operational role with 1 year as Executive Partner in the exclusive global CIO membership community Research Board, a business unit of Gartner. Building on his experience with CIOs in the Executive Programs, Mr. Germann attained 100% retention of 30 global CIO memberships, contributing to overall revenue growth of the business unit.
Following Gartner, Chris led a sales enablement strategy at Oracle Digital, the inside sales business unit for enterprise cloud applications, by introducing peer reviews influencing and C-level executive profile training across 2,000 person sales teams at Oracle Digital. Most recently, he led an effort to build a subscription-based enterprise research service at consulting firm ISG, Stamford, CT.
Mr. Germann received his B.Sc., double major in Computer Science and International Relations from Brigham Young University in 1988. He obtained professional certifications from University Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business in Communications, Financial Management and Leading High Performance Teams, and is fluent in Spanish.
